Kowa produces activated carbon derived from coconut shells at our joint venture company - P.J.A.C. (Philippine-Japan Active Carbon Corporation) in Davao City, on the Philippine island of Mindanao (Mindanao has the world''s largest concentration of coconut trees assuring continuous local supply of the raw material). After 30 years of operation, PJAC is now the third largest manufacturer of coconut-shell carbons in the world.
Coconut derived activated carbon has superior hardness and attrition resistance and less impurities compared to other sources of activated carbon (such as coal or wood).
Gold mining, air filtration, water treatment are a few of the numerous applications these carbons can be used for. A very wide range of activities (adsorbtion rates)are available and along with custom sizing of the activated carbon particle size to allow for optimum performance.
Please visit the PJAC site (www.pjac-corp.com) and let us know what carbons are of interest. (PJAC Brochure Download) |
